I would really like to learn this as it seems there are many old Vista pc's with this card out there I can revive! Really hoping to get the best performance out of it also, so if that means using the Nvidia drivers that's fine. I think I need to boot into Compatibility Mode, make the install, then add nomodeset to Grub? or do I need to modify "/etc/modprobe.d/nf" with: options nouveau noaccel=1

If I remember correctly, 17.3 it was more difficult to install without freezing, but cannot be sure.Ģ. If not, will use 17.2 like I did last time which seemed to work the best. First off, not sure if I can use 17.3, which is what I would prefer.
